Pitch Black...

That is what I would use to describe the condition when I leave for work...pitch black. I am way serious when I say that I don't think God intended on anyone having to leave for work before even a speck of light began to dawn. I mean, back in the old days before clocks and stupid alarms, people woke up when the cock crowed right? And if I'm not mistaken, it usually crows when the sun comes up. That's natural. Total darkness is not natural. I'm not a morning person and it is a battle I will be fighting my whole life I'm afraid. I'm not a crazy sleeper or anything; I never even sleep in past 9 when given the chance. I'm just sayin', can I have some daylight?

You know you graduated HS in the 90's if...

you go to a Goo Goo Dolls concert and you literally know EVERY song...even if you can't remember the last time or first time you heard it. It was probably from the big boom box (NEW CD player) in about 1996. I can't get my confounded videos that I took at the concert to upload on here and it's making me angry...So, here are a couple low quality pictures:

Thanks Kipper, Kipster, Kipiddy Doo Dah

Another special thanks to NUSKIN for providing our tickets

OH The Thinks You Can Think! When you think about SEUSS!

So, the show is over and I'm about to start the detox, but man it was fun! And I just love these people!

Watch out for bugs in the eyes...

This event just couldn't go unmentioned... Last Sunday I rode my new bike to Pam's house in Highland. When I was leaving she decided she'd ride Kev's old bike with me home. It was nothing less than hilarious! She's a riot, in a million ways... We had to stop a few times, but the funniest part was her choice of ensemble:

Yes, that is a ski hat and goggles...

My butt hurts...

I bought a new bike! Well, I didn't have one before actually. The last bike I owned was a seafoam green Huffy beach cruiser that got stolen just under three years ago. Most recently I was riding Kevin's old beefcake Liahona mission bike-that he rode for two years and then put in a box for five. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but it was to blame for my not-so-great triathlon finishing time. You see, heavy and chunky mountain bikes with only 10 gears don't exactly do wonders for a road race...
So, for the first time in my life I bought a super awesome, brand new, quite expensive bike and I'm way excited about it! It's a cross-terrain bike which means it functions well on the road at high speeds, but the tires are able to handle dirt paths as well. I found a picture of the exact one I bought! I rode it for all of 30 minutes on Wednesday after I got it home and my butt is bruised...it will take some breaking in. But now that I've spent that much money, I will be doing lots of triathlons and maybe I will start riding my bike everywhere I can to save gas...
