Happy Birthday to Me!

Oh my goodness! What a fun birthday weekend! It was non-stop goodness I tell ya! I got to be in the beautiful California sunshine and with my most best HS friends and their cute kiddos! I will share some highlights!
Perfect Day #1 was spent at Newport Beach! Here are a couple of my besties, Adriane and Carrie
Aubrey and Tyler- they are a match made in heaven. They both put down food like there's been a famine, and if a some clumps of sand happen to get in their mouthful, meh! No biggy!
Love this battle scene (those are Dallin's legs :)
Holly looking fabulous with her two studs
The fresh baby Jude! This is Adriane's little guy and it was my first time meeting him, love at first sight
Birthday dinner at the Spaghetti Factory :) Mike is a nut and I love him!
Brynn and Glen! Brynn is prego with her 3rd and he's comin' soon!
"All the single ladies!" ha! Or just that one single lady in the middle...me
Perfect Day 2- DISNEYLAND!!! Awesome birthday adventure! I will forever love Carrie for trekking around both parks all day with me, along with her 3 boys!
Tyler was tall enough for Matterhorn! I held on to that kid for dear life!
His new nickname is Stitch! We discovered that this kid bites suckers, not fond of the licking technique. That takes way too much time!
Me and Fish...Madness!
Matt joined us and we traded in the two little ones so we could rock it on some big rides!
Day 3: Dodger Stadium! Man, it's been a long time! This place holds some serious childhood nostalgia for me!
Sari! It was so great to spend some quality time with her at the game!
Birthday cupcakes! This picture of Aubs is classic!
Dallin
Day 4: Triathlon baby! We are star athletes! And Fisher is a great photographer!

"This is living, this is what I call living..."

Musical theater is just in my blood! Whether I'm really all that good or not, I love playing on the stage so much! I've spent the past 2 months functioning on very little sleep, eating who knows what, but it's been worth it. "Thoroughly Modern Millie" is such a great show! I feel like it's kind of a dream come true that I have been able to be in it! I saw the one and only, amazing Sutton Foster as Millie from the front row on Broadway 6 years ago. In my dorkiness, I then taught myself the tap dance to "Forget About the Boy" by watching the Tony Award performance over, and over, over......
And now I do that dance every night! One more time! Hurray for closing night!

Oh how I enjoy my fellow cast members!!!! We have had such a blast during the whole process of this show! I am so happy to have met some new awesome friends as well as spend time with a couple pals from previous times! And it was the first time Cody and I have been in a show together!

We play YAHTZEE!! at intermission and at various times throughout the show when we're not on stage. It's an ongoing competition and it's the best time!

My hair/wig situation has been through some evolutions...

Absolute Bliss!

My little heart is sad to be back home from the excitement of New York City once again. My three day trip there this past week marks the 9th time I've been there and about the 30th show I've seen on Broadway. Do I love it or what? I do I do! But this experience was like no other! Alli Mauzey, my good buddy from H.S. who I shared a stage with many times and have enjoyed much of the big city with on various trips, is staring as Glinda in Wicked! Now this comes at no surprise because she's always been wonderfully talented and in a league all of her own. I've seen her in loads of performances (some on Broadway) previous to now...BUT, what a role to land!!! She is the most brilliant, perfect Glinda there could ever be! After watching Kristen Chenoweth originally, I never dreamed I would have this opportunity to love another Glinda even more! I can't even express how proud I am of her and how surreal and blissful it was to watch her give a flawless performance TWICE (yes, I got to go two times :) -once from the front row! I immediately began to cry within the first few seconds of the show when she came down from the sky in her bubble :) I thought the ladies next to me would die from shock when Alli was waving, blowing kisses, and talking to me during the curtain call...it was quite humorous actually. She's working really hard- her voice sounds amazing as ever, and she's absolutely hilarious! I did go backstage and her dressing room is bigger than my bedroom. Craziness!
The poofy gorgeous dress pictured below weighs a good 40 lbs...

Beautiful Girl!

Love you Alli!

Happy Nail

Last weekend My Ladies got together at Carrie's house to have a fun night of dinner, catching up, and pampering the feet! It was a hilarious and super fun event as usual! Love you girls!

Carrie, Lisa, and I scrubbin' in the tub!

Ally and Jen grooming :)

We did this wax dipping thing and my feet were too supple- the wax did not come off correctly!

I really hate this place...

Sorry, this is nothing but a venting session. You can agree or disagree with my current distaste. Saturday it was sunny and 60 degrees, beautiful...well, beautiful except for the fact that what the sun was shinning on were a bunch of dead nasty tree skeletons, dead brown grass, nasty muddy gutters, unkempt yards, and dirty buildings & houses. I'm not complaining about the sun at all, just the effects of 6 months of snow. And of course that sunny day was simply another teaser because yesterday the snow came back, blizzard style. Today I went downstairs to leave for work at the cheery hour of 7 a.m. and there was a heaping 8 inches of snow on my car. So, much to my extreme annoyance I pulled the scraper out of the trunk where I thought I had put it AWAY for Spring. The wind was blowing something like 40 mph and as I dusted the snow off holding my 4 bags and bagel the wind blew my hair to a wet frenzy and so lovingly blew chunks of snow from the car into my face, eyes, and mouth. After a few words of profanity, covering myself with snow, and having the freshly applied mascara drip down my face, I took off for the 20mph drive past all the poor fools who slid off the road. Why do I want to move out of Utah you all ask? OH I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOAB has Bright Stars and Red Rocks!

I have a fabulous Bishop. He's the coolest and loves to do fun things and always invites some of us along, even if it's with his family. We are really tight buddies and as luck would have it, I didn't have to be at rehearsal on Saturday....soooooo, Lisa and I took off to Moab to meet our Bishop and some fellows in our ward to camp, hike, and ride four-wheelers. It ended up being so much fun! I loved it! Moab is gorgeous! It was fun to go back :)

Ha ha ha! Yes that's a pretty good face I'm pulling...and it was brought on by my apparently dramatic reaction to the bright flash. You see, we had just hiked up to Delicate Arch in the pitch dark with flashlights (which was fun and slightly frightening at the same time) and my eyes were adjusted to darkness, so that flash was WAY more than I could handle. The best thing about this night hike was the AMAZING and BREATHTAKING display of stars. I've never seen that many stars in my life! We could see the Milky Way and so many constellations, many of which I forget the name of. I was truly amazed, it was awesome!

So, we went back the next morning so that we could see what the beautiful rocks and arches look like in the sunlight. I love this picture.

Lisa, Callie, and I

Ryan and I after our long scenic ride. Sorry that I left my camera in the car so I don't have pictures of the great things we saw while on our ride. This is just the dirt parking lot where we started. Speaking of dirt, we were covered! It took seven Q-tips to clean out my ears completely. Lisa's red dirty face was definitely the best.

The four-wheeling adventure crew...Bishop Kitchen is in the back with his hat backwards, he's the bomb!!!

"Run Like a Princess!"

1/2 marathon #2 in my life was much more pleasant :) Perhaps it was due to the fact that it involved running through the Magic Kingdom castle in Disney World! However, next time these feet hit the road for 13 miles, I would love to have a friend running with me! Thanks to Jamie for droppin' me off at the crack of dawn and then coming to cheer me through Main Street. She took some fun pictures of our activities over the weekend and I don't have them yet...so just know that we totally went to Blizzard Beach water park and slid our day away and it was a blast!!! I was not happy at all when I came home to snow!!!...and my job. I'm actually still trying to recover from the sun, Disney, and Jamie withdrawls...it's been a week. It was a great time. The only disappointing thing was that I wasn't able to pick up a shift to work, which could turn into something tragic, but I'll worry about that later!

I wasn't exactly ready for this one, but Minnie and Mickey are so cute!!!

Agraba

Later that day once I was cleaned up a little :) Aren't we cute? We are by some yellow flower trees at Magic Kingdom that Jamie loves.

At the Cirque store...uh, yes, that is Dustin ON THE BAG, and he's a sticker! We bought them. He's famous!

Dinner with Erin and Meg!
