Okay, so I'm clearly behind in this world of blog! Urm, I haven't really read anybody else's either. Something collosal hit the month of March, and half of April...well, lots of things really. It's been a blast mostly, but so busy! Here we go...

Lisa (aka Kitty) and I ran off to San Francisco for a weekend to see Kevin do a twirly ribbon dance in Wicked- oh, and be a monkey and a "oh ee oh ee oh oh" guard. It was quite fun to see him on that stage, in a show I adore so much as a bonus! I cried a lot-I'm very easily proud. And I had a cold straight from hell so I spent the whole weekend holding a box of Kleenex Puffs infused with Vicks! (Those are a blessing, btw) We stayed with Kevin in his apartment and did some other site seeing, including a new Walt Disney museum! Yes, I was in Heaven. We had absolutely perfect weather! It was fan-flippin'-tastic! Some pics? Okay:

Utah winter is not my favorite pastime, and the last couple rare 3-day weekends have kept me in the snowy state for some reason or another...SO when another day off rolled along in the beginning of March, I was quickly on a speedy flight to my sunny happy hometown! Disneyland and best friends were included, of course...and two extra special things happened this time...
1. Funny little Aubrey (Brynn's daughter) accidentally slammed her tiny finger in the bathroom stall at D-land, which turned into a fortunate event because we ended up in the First Aide mini-magical hospital....where we ran into some very important people...who spent some adorable, quality time with us. (And, yes, I am the biggest Disney nerd ever and I did start crying when they walked in)

2. We had big bad girl's night out with no babies and kiddos for the first time since they were all birthed (I LOVE the babies and kiddos, but it was an amazing night!) We went to Islands and then to see Alice in Wonderland (which I thought was B-O-R-I-N-G, but I loved the company). We were causing a raucous at the grocery store buying candy for the movie and the clerk asked us if we were a sorority...ha ha! We are long out of college, but we seem to revert back to our crazy H.S. giggling behaviors when we're all together, and it's so therapeutic!

Koufax

Go ahead, "Awwwwwwwwwwww" all you want because THAT is a cute puppy!

He belongs to my mother and his name is Koufax, after Sandy Koufax of the Dodgers (back in the day when baseball was awesome). He's a Yorkie, which we discovered is the only breed that really works out in the family, since my dad and I are both super allergic to dogs.
*(see note of digression at bottom of post later)

Thankfully, my cous Kevin got his Yorkie (Jaxon) a little over a year ago, so he served as an experiment...turns out that due to the pH of their "human" hair, we do just fine, until we're licked...then there's a slight rash that appears :-p

BUT we have loved Jaxon; hence Koufax for my mom's 59th birthday. She's a big time dog person and has waited since she was a teenager to have one again. Consequently, I haven't hardly heard from her since the arrival of Koufax to the family...she's occupied. He's adorable!

Me 'n my cute roomies :-) I should mention here that my great friend Jessica moved in with Lisa and I a month ago and I could not be happier about it!!! We've been buddies since back in my California EFY working days, and now she has a job in Utah and is living with us! It's fantastic!

Okay...so...ha ha...unfortunately, THIS is Koufax's favorite place to be! Like...he hunts me down, chases me, and the second I sit down he finds it and well,...tries to go to town. It's crazy. He better grow out of it.

...and that is how tiny he is compared to Jaxon! Their first interaction was very unexpected. Koufax was so excited he could hardly stand it and was bounding around after Jaxon like a little bunny, but Jaxon wanted nothing to do with him! He even growled at him a few times! Super weird and kind of sad. Hopefully he'll be nicer to the poor pup next time!
*I have something to say about being allergic to dogs...IT IS OUT OF OUR CONTROL PEOPLE! I swear, the dog lovers and dog owners of the world make me crazy with their looks and reactions of sheer confusion or utter disdain when I tell them I'm really allergic to dogs, including their precious pet. Usually they don't get it and either seem offended or just let their dogs roam around me anyway! As if to say, "Meh, it can't be THAT bad." ...Tryin' to sniff my crotch, jumping on me, licking me, rubbing their dander all over my pants...uhg. What the heck? No people, I most likely CAN'T pet your dog without accidentally touching my eye in a few seconds and having it swell to the size of a golf ball. I probably can't sit on your couch without dog residue getting all over my clothes and turning me into a sneezing/nose running idiot. I may not even be able to breathe the air in your home for longer than about 20 minutes before my lungs start to close and I begin wheezing . If it licks me, I WILL get a nasty welted rash. To you non-allergic humans who don't understand I say, we aren't kidding! It's not a joke! Put your dogs outside or in a different room and vacum those couches like crazy if an allergic person is comin' over. I know the dog is a part of the family, but perhaps value the human lungs over the feelings of your dog? Just sayin'! And I hope you're laughing right now because I am...I mean no hate at all....I just think it's an anomaly that this unfortunate condition makes me less favorable, almost an outcast of society, as if I have commited some crime. I'm sorry, I'm sorry!

Disco Inferno

What a silly little plot this crazy musical has! My character sort of drove me nuts, but I had some fun solos and boy did we dance our pants off! It was way fun, but I was pretty relieved when it was over with.

Wish it was still Christmas Break!

Quite a fun and hilarious Christmas Eve afternoon with some of my sister-in-laws fam... early to the movie theater to see A Christmas Carol, which had been out for almost a month so we had the place to ourselves...I liked it, but we weren't able to see it in 3D, and it seemed as though the effects and decisions they made for the film were tailored for a 3D experience.

Christmas dinner and present exchange festivities with Lisa's whole family were EXCELLENT! Very fun and delicious.
So.....my parents gave Mathew and Derrick this lovely Monopoly City game and it literally took us like 5 hours of the day after Christmas to complete a game, which I won...in a very anticlimactic way, since the two buffoons just ran out of money all of a sudden; such is the way of Monopoly.

Another event that was super great that we didn't photograph was an air soft gun war we had at the park. The gun I had had a range of about 6 ft. so I totally lost that battle!

Busy

I've been slightly absent from this world for a while...it's too bad because I've had some great and funny things to blog about. BUT again, I don't really feel like anybody reads it, ha ha! Well, that and I'm in a pretty intensely busy rehearsal schedule for this quirky little musical, Disco Inferno. And being a lead is really not as fun as being a goofy fun character mixing in with the ensemble. Don't get me wrong...I'm excited for the opportunity and have experienced some breakthroughs which have surprised me, but I am definitely nervous. So, things I could have posted about the past few weeks:

-my theories about the "blind date"
-what 4th graders do instead of listen
-my 3rd trying-to-hide-it, "struggles-with-same-sex-attraction" male love interest
-a survey of my readers (all 3 of you), polling whether I should be desperate enough to get on ldssingles. com
-the hideous, someday-it-will-be-funny experience of getting bumped off a flight to Oregon two days before Christmas WITH my afraid-to-fly, frantic, worried, control-freak father...which entailed a couple shuttles, no baggage, a long hotel night, some serious hours of waiting, and flying into a different airport 2 and half hours away from my brothers house.
-our fantastic Christmas break trip to my brother's in Oregon where we ate great food, sat by the fire, watched movies, went to movies, went ice skating, had an air soft gun war, played tennis, played games, SLEPT in, and had Christmas cheer with not just our little family-but also my sister-in-law's great large family.

There it is...Disco Inferno opens this Friday, the 8th and goes to the 16th (super short run), and no I can't record the show; it's not legal (that was for Carrie).
